Position Overview

A Bead Blaster / Clean Room Operator is responsible for operating bead blasting machinery, performing precision cleaning and inspection of components, and maintaining a controlled clean room environment. This role supports high-quality manufacturing operations-commonly in sectors like semiconductor, aerospace, medical devices, and advanced manufacturing.


Key Responsibilities

Bead Blasting & Equipment Operation

  • Operate bead blasting machines and other surface-treatment equipment to clean, restore, or prepare metal and manufactured components.
  • Prepare parts for various processes including chemical cleaning, etching, flame spraying, or other finishing treatments.
  • Monitor equipment performance, perform light preventive maintenance, and report machine malfunctions promptly.

Inspection & Quality Control

  • Conduct visual inspections using basic tools to ensure components meet quality and customer specifications.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of production activities using logs or ERP systems.

Clean Room Duties

  • Maintain clean room standards including proper gowning, hygiene, and contamination control procedures.
  • Perform housekeeping, including wiping down surfaces and keeping the work area organized and compliant with audit requirements

Packaging & Handling

  • Properly package and label components for shipment following internal and customer guidelines.

Safety & Compliance

  • Follow all required safety protocols and wear PPE (gloves, goggles, masks, etc.).
  • Adhere to company EH&S (Environmental, Health, and Safety) and QMS (Quality Management System) standards.

Qualifications

Required

  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
  • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and stand for extended periods.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions precisely.
  • Comfort working around chemicals and in PPE.
